![]() ![]() ![]() I've sent the flash drive back to the user and advised it to be returned.ĭISKPART> online disk (if the disk is not online)ĭISKPART> active (if this is the boot partition)ĭISKPART> format fs=ntfs label=(name) quick any suggestions on how I could return the flash drive to it's original state? "DiskPart has encountered an error: The system cannot find the file specified." Unfortunately DiskPart would not then let me create a new volume, after selected 'simple' volume it stated "please insert a dynamic disk".Ī bit of messing around with some other commands later it now always reports: However this did let me now remove the current volume so I had a disc in raw format. This really broke Bitlocker though and it then reported that the password was simply wrong. I selected the volume, and did the clean command. So then I tried using Disk Part (Which i'm no expert in). ![]() Originally I tried this through Disk Managment, but it failed with an error similar to the one Bitlocker stated. He said there was nothing on the disk anyway, so I decided to try and format it. Unfortunately something had gone wrong during the encryption process and it would not accept the password stating "Cannot find file or directory" (something like that). One of our users today bought in a 32gb brand new USB Flash drive, which was encrypted with Bitlocker. ![]()
